100% Silk Scarf with motif by Gustav Klimt – The Kiss
This vibrantly coloured scarf is inspired by Gustav Klimt’s famous painting, The Kiss (1907/1908), the culminating work of his golden period. In the painting a couple is depicted in a passionate embrace. The man is bent over the woman, and she is clinging tightly to him awaiting his kiss. Passion, eroticism, and lovers united by a kiss are themes that occupied Klimt throughout his career. The lavish ornamentation and use of gold is reminiscent of Byzantine mosaics.
